FREE THINGS: Don’t miss the Alamo, Texas’ #1 visitor attraction. Stroll the secluded parts of the River Walk or wander through the Spanish missions. Soak in live music, from polka to R&B, daily at Main Plaza. Tuesdays at the San Antonio Museum of Art are free. Take in Southtown’s public shindig, First Friday Art Walk. Find secret corners of the city with a guided tour.
You must ask your hotel for museum discounts or sometimes they sell the tickets at the hotel. You may be able to buy a bundle package. Beware of the school trips being made now.
I’d also recommend visiting “el mercado” just ask about it at your hotel or airport! Beautiful, bring MONEY and a camera. They almost always have free entertainment.
    Also this month: September 20 – 21: Jazz’SAlive
Dave Brubeck headlines an outdoor, two-day music festival. Some of the nation’s top jazz entertainers, along with regional and local talent, take over Travis Park and dazzle the crowd with their smooth sounds. Travis Park. Free. (210) 212-8423
FREE travel agent/guide, message me for more info!

Go to the Riverwalk then get on the sightseeing boat to go from one end to the other so you will easily see what is there. Then, walk on each side visiting the shops, restaurants, etc. that interest you most. Please stop at the Pieca d’Italia Restorante. Order a drink in the “Walk About River Mug–it is a great keep sake to take with you, you can sit on the “porch” dining area and watch the world go by!
Also, visit the Alamo site and there is a great flea market to check out. Many of the buildings are historic so “walk about” and there a lots of art galeries in the Riverwalk area.
    Have fun!

DUDE!! WHY ARE YOU CHOOSING TO GO ON VACATION IN SAN ANTONIO.. THERE IS NOTHING THERE.. ITS OVERATED..THE ONLY THING THEY HAVE IS A RIVER NEXT TO THE MALL OR A PAWN.. AND THE ALAMO, WHICH ISNT THAT WOW AND GREAT..
IF YOU REALLY WANT TO GO ON A REAL VACATION, STAY AWAY FROM TEXAS..
I RECOMEND GOING TO SAN FRANSISCO, CA THE BEST CITY OF ALL..
    - CHINA TOWN
    - PIER 39
    - ALCATRAZ
    - GOLDEN BRIDGE
    - CABLE CAR RIDES
    - LOMBARD STREET
IF YOU WANT PICTURES/ CULTURE / AND HISTORIC PLACES.. ITS SAN FRANSISCO.. NOT SAN ANTONIO OR TEXAS..

THE ALAMO – Texas culture like nothing else.
Riverwalk; you can see a lot of old buildings, take a trip on the river which is in the middle of downtown SA, and enjoy some good food and music to relax after all your learning. (The boat tour people give you history on the city)
