1. Make sure it is clean and dry.
2. Stuff it, don’t fold or roll it – this can put creases in the fabric over time and add to deterioration of the fabric.

I’m missing the shorter pole from a Eurohike backpacker tent, although I can’t remember how long the original was if I knew that I could probably get a replacement.
The longer one seems to be made up of 6 sections.
