What Is A Good Short Vacation To Go On From Houston?

I am planning to have a second vacation this summer just to do some traveling and to get out of the heat from Texas. Does anyone recomend anything on where to go for about 3-4 days, that is slightly inexpensive 2000 max, and is good for 3-4 people. Also it will need to be in june. (and be interesting/ fun ) Thanks!
