What precautions do you suggest? Does a sign saying where your destination is help? Do semi-trailer drivers pick up hitchhikers? Should the hitchhiker offer to share fuel expenses? Is a Greyhound excursion fare the best alternative? Or the train?

I want to go out and buy a fishing rod to use in baker beach in San Francisco. I don’t know much about fishing and really want to get into the sport. Also what is it going to cost me? Ballpark figure.

We are a family of around 7 people and we have 4 adults and 3 kids (ages 8, 10, and 14). We are looking for some vacation spots around Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, that area. They can be some amusement parks, but not Six Flags or anything because we can find that right here in our city. Something that is actually worth going there for. PLEASE INCLUDE 3-4 VACATION SPOTS. Something we are looking forward too, but doesn’t have to be, is a Resort with everything in it. But it can be anything, as long as it is a vacation spot, and something to look forward to.

My boyfriend and I are 19, and we don’t have that much money to spend on an expensive vacation. We’ve already been to Myrtle Beach SC and Pigeon Forge TN way too many times. Anybody have any ideas?

We are considering buying a waterfront vacation property along the gulf cost in Texas. We are looking for somewhere with a lot of atmosphere, great restaurants, and lots of things to do (but also somewhere we can totally relax as well), but not really overcrowded. We were looking at the Corpus Cristi area and Galveston Island and would like the opinion of some locals. We are in our late 30s and have 2 young children. We are coming there in late December to check things out for ourselves, but would like some information ahead of time, so that we know where we should focus on when we get there.
