I’m from Indonesia, I mean if I want to stay for a month in KL, and it doesn’t have to cost much. Maybe like jalan jaksa in Jakarta if we compared to.

My personal favorite is City Park. Staying there doesn’t cost much. It’s a cosy hotel with much impressive things to offer to guests. I stayed for 2 weeks there for business. try this website, http://traveling-malaysia.blogspot.com/. there’s a bunch of hotels there you can choose from. Good luck on your trip
Oh when you’re there, don’t forget to eat authentic Malaysian dishes. They’re really nice. a bit spicy but really tasty.

Jalan Alor, Bukit Bintang is the place for http://www.tripbackpack.com/” target=”_blank”>backpackers. Just google for hostels in Bukit Bintang. Many cheap accomodation for below 30 ringgit. Remember, do not go to Tengkat Tongshin strip. That boarding house is full of drug runners and hookers.

“backpacker‘s Traveller’s Inn” in chinatown, nice rooms, and cheap… bed for 3.40. bukit bintang even hostels there are too expensive imo. this hostel is on jalan sultan right near one of the public transport stations, good location.
