The cheaper the accomodation the better as we are on a budget….any suggestions as to nice accomodation you have stayed in would be appreciated also.
Thanks

You’ll find loads of cheap accommodation when you get there,
locals will jump on you as you get of the boat in samui offering cheap accommodation, but you find plenty just walkin around lamai, or chewang beaches.
you can stay in samui and get the speed boat over to ko pang ngang for the full moon, half moon, and quarter moon parties,
try out the mushrooms shakes on the bar on the cliff at the end of had rin beach(if you into that)

In Chiang Mai, you can get a good accommodation for about US$5.00
a day. In Bangkok, stay in Khao San and in so many other places too. For One US dollar, you can have a good meal. Full moon parties are always full! You must book well in advance and be there before that parties.

best advice is to buy the back packers bible – ‘Lonely Planet Thailand’ has all ranges of accommodation with telephone numbers etc. Good guide book too.
