What Will I Need To Catch Some Good Bass When I Go Fishing This Sunday On Rockland Lake?
by James on Jul.12, 2009, under Activities in Tremblant
I was planning to go fishing on rockland lake. Am i able to catch fish from the edge without going to the water? Another place i was planning to fish on was the hudson river. I live in the bronx so i was planning to go fishing somewhere near the tappanzee bridge.

Winter time Bass are a challenge, Especially in the North
If you are fishing a tournament they probably won’t let you use live bait–they don’t here anyway-so you gotta get to the fish, you might Texas rig a 10 inch rubber worm use a sinker large enough to let you fish the bottom and work the worm real slow, cold water slows the fish down a bunch, if the river is really deep the fish might be just 3/4 of the river depth. after your cast try counting to 10 before you start your retrieve
next cast try counting to 5-next try 7-the fish are in there somewhere you just gotta find them, once you do your in
I didn’t mean to treat you like you didn’t know how to fish
but it would shock both of to find out how many are going fishing this weekend that don’t know
My answer is just how I would attack the situation..
I also want to be the first to wish you GooD LucK…
you’ve got what it takes”””
If you are not fishing a tournament and plan to harvest them
I would get me some – real small minnows, and try them
Bass are ornery when it is cold, and won’t eat until they are almost starving , good luck

You can never go wrong with a power bait plastic worn run with a Texas jig and patience remember even in tournaments it could take 4 hours to catch a good bass.
