What Is The Best Way To Get My Fishing To Level 99 In Runescape?
by James on Jul.14, 2009, under Activities in Tremblant
I am thinking between four things. Harpoon for tuna and swordfish, fly fishing for salmon and trout, bait fishing for pike, and lobster pot for lobsters. I am f2p, and I’m wondering what the fastest method is. I don’t care about money, I just want to know what the fastest from 68 to 99.

“I’m wondering what the fastest method is” – it’s fly fishing, hands down. Don’t waste your time getting lobsters or tuna, unless you plan on dropping them ALL – the bank trip is too long to make these methods effective.
For both P2P and F2P the fastest method is fly fishing. Get your rod and feathers and head to barb ville. You have two choices; you can drop the fish or bank them. Personally I would tell you to bank them, you won’t lose much XP by doing this (it doesn’t take very long) and you’ll be able to make some money from it – I know you said you aren’t bothered about making money, but it’s always nice.

Hey,
Getting 99 in F2P is pointless tbh cos you cannot buy the skill capes because they are members items.. sorry to break the bad news
If you decide to become a member (wise choice) do the Shilo Village quest and do fly fishing there, this is the fastest fishing exp in the whole of runescape, just like woodcutting Willows

until level 76, use fly fishing for salmon and trout

I agree, lobsters are pretty good. Get a harpoon and a cage and hit Karamja, you can usually do pretty well alternating.

Fly fishing is the fastest. Go to barbarian village, and when you are full, drop them or bank at edgeville.

I have 99 fishing and I did it lots of different ways because I kept getting bored. I did lots of lobbys in the fishing guild but you have to be prepared to stay there for months. And I even did lots of fly fishing and I banked everything so I could cook it. If I got too bored I stopped fishing and cooked a while. I have 99 cooking too.
I dont know how you can do it fast in f2p because the banks are not close enough. I also did monks and fishing trawler. It took like a whole year in members.
