What Are The Best Lightweight Recreational Saltwater Fishing Boats?

I need a saltwater fishing boat that I can row and affix a small motor.Lightweight and portable but room for 2 or 3. What should I be looking for?Thanks for any help

the inflatables are the best for ease of carry … if you have garage space and you can find a good used Boston Whaler that is gonna be the safest —- if you find an aluminum 14 or 16 footer that is light weight (be sure to get new flotation in any used boat to be sure that you on the safe side of boating ..

Boston Whaler or Carolina Skiff would be my choice of small/ simple/ new, but see what is out there for used also. This is not a good time of year to buy unless it is from a “good” friend, prices are up for the season.

I’d go with the inflatable, but the ones with the rigid bottoms (fiberglass). There a little more expensive but are safe and durable. They also perform well with small motors, like 25HP.

Fiber glass types are the best because they completely resist rusting. Salt water is very corrosive to metal.

Go to your yellow pages and find boat dealers that sell lund boats. or try on line and look for the same thing.

How lightweight are you speaking of? Rubber or aluminum hull? I think if U tell us that we can be of more help to you.
