Even when it’s raining - you can have fun!
Making the most of your vacation when the rain looks like it won’t
cooperate doesn’t seem like a whole lot of fun… especially when you’ve
had to book your vacation months ahead of time and knew you were
taking a gamble on the weather. So how do you keep the whole family
entertained during this time?
Well, for one, you’ll notice that kids don’t seem to mind too much about the weather.
They’ll find things to do around the vacation home you rented, especially if it has
a playroom with football, TV, movies and other games. If you would like to get more
creative or if the adults would like to get out and about, here are a number of things you can
do around Mont Tremblant or any resort
when the weather doesn’t seem to cooperate:
1. Get out and enjoy the areas culture and its traditions: local food
specialties, farmers’ markets, Quebec’s sugaring off
Traveling is part of enjoying the local culture and meeting the locals who are happy to welcome you to their town.
2. Do day trips to other nearby towns.
3. Go to the local art galleries or creative art studio
and get inspired.
4. Take the opportunity to relax and read that book you’ve always wanted to read.
5. Indulge and go to a day spa(http://www.scandinave.com/) … the rain
will only help you relax.
6. Go to the movie theatre.
7. Go to a local gym
… if exercise is absolutely calling you.
8. Sit by the fireplace, sipping some wine, and have a discussion.
9. Play scrabble, poker, cribbage or snakes and ladders next to a
bowl of popcorn.
10. And if you are still bored or get a bout of cabin fever, put on a gore-tex (water-repellent) jacket and get
outside anyways. You can walk, hike, canoe…
Get out there and enjoy!… life is simply too short to worry about the weather!
