The story takes place during the “Great Depression” of the 1930′s. A calendar on the wall at the drugstore read 1934. The commercial was filmed during the summer of 1994. A very young Michel Gondry and a BBH crew (Partizan) were brilliant, and a joy to work with. It also made it into the Guinness Book for winning the most awards.

I am speechless!! True Genius that man. Anything he does is amazing. Hadn’t seen this before. Love that the dad is the pharmacists. And what a Hypocrite too. He was proud of the kid when he sold him the item and then disgusted when the kid came to pick up his daugther. HAHAHAJust bought the DVD for his recent film (1/3 of a film) Tokyo! I will forever love this man!!1
